Privacy policy

GetHandled currently offers a Maryland countertop-project contractor-selection and introduction service. We organize project information, vet the participating network, select one independent contractor for project fit, explain the fit, obtain your consent to share relevant information and make one introduction. This policy explains the information we process when you visit our site, respond to an advertisement, schedule or attend a consultation, communicate with us, authorize a payment, or participate as a contractor.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use GetHandled, we may collect:

How we use information

How information is disclosed

If you choose to proceed and consent to the introduction, we may disclose relevant contact and project information to the selected participating contractor. Separately, we may disclose information to vendors supporting hosting, forms, scheduling, communications, payment processing, analytics, advertising and accounting; to professional advisers; or when required for safety, fraud prevention, legal process or a business transaction. Contractors are independent businesses and are responsible for their own privacy, estimates, contracts, licensing and work.

We do not state that every disclosure is legally a “sale” or “sharing” under every privacy law. Some advertising or analytics activity may be treated that way in certain jurisdictions. Where applicable, we will honor legally required opt-out rights.

Advertising and outcome measurement

For the current Maryland countertop pilot, GetHandled uses a Meta browser pixel to record page visits, landing-page views and completed consultation bookings. Deeper outcomes, such as a held call, qualified project, paid advancement, estimate or cleared GetHandled payment, are reconciled in restricted operational records and are not automatically sent from this website. We do not currently send hashed contact fields or server-side conversion events from this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and the applicable controls before enabling the new processing.

Payments and the advancement service

No payment is required to book or attend the current free Maryland countertop consultation. After the call, if you choose to advance, you may accept the written terms and authorize the separate non-refundable $150 GetHandled advancement service. A payment provider processes the transaction. If you later sign an agreement with the introduced contractor, that contractor provides the $150 credit under the written mechanism.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use necessary storage for site operation and, when enabled, analytics or advertising technologies for attribution, performance and service improvement. Browser controls may limit some technologies. Blocking them may reduce measurement accuracy without preventing you from contacting GetHandled.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to requests, document introductions, provide customer service, measure advertising, maintain accounting records, prevent disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the record type and relationship. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete information, or opt out of non-essential marketing. Applicable law may provide additional rights, subject to verification and exceptions. Email team.gethandled@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Reply STOP to an applicable marketing text to stop future marketing texts. Service messages about a request you initiated may still be sent when necessary.

Advertising choices on this device

You can prevent the GetHandled Meta pixel from loading on future page views in this browser. This device-level choice does not erase operational records or information already processed, and clearing browser storage may reset it.

Advertising measurement is currently available in this browser.

Children

GetHandled is intended for adults arranging or providing home-improvement services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the marketplace, vendors or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Send privacy questions or requests to team.gethandled@gmail.com, or reply to an existing GetHandled scheduling confirmation or other message through which you contacted us.
