Terms of use

These terms govern use of GetHandled’s website and current Maryland countertop consultation, contractor-selection and introduction service. The independent contractor’s estimate, contract, construction work, payment terms and any warranty it offers are governed by that contractor’s own documents, not these terms.

GetHandled’s role

For the current Maryland countertop service, GetHandled collects and organizes initial project information, vets its participating contractor network, selects one independent contractor based on project fit and makes one introduction. GetHandled does not perform construction, issue the contractor’s estimate, negotiate or become a party to the home-improvement contract, collect the contractor’s contract payments, supervise the contractor’s work or provide any warranty the contractor offers.

Homeowner information and contractor introduction

You agree to provide information you are authorized to share and to correct material inaccuracies. If you choose to proceed with an introduction, you authorize GetHandled to share relevant contact and project information with the selected participating contractor. A consultation or introduction does not guarantee contractor acceptance, an estimate, project availability, price, schedule, contract or completed work.

Free consultation

The current Maryland countertop phone consultation is free and lasts approximately 15 minutes. Booking it does not authorize a $150 charge and does not create a construction contract.

Advancement service

If GetHandled confirms project fit and you elect to advance, GetHandled may offer a separate $150 advancement service covering contractor selection, the fit explanation, consent and one contractor introduction. The independent contractor decides whether to accept the introduction and separately owns any assessment, estimate, contract, work, payment and any warranty it offers. Before payment, GetHandled will present written terms covering non-refundability, processor authorization, receipt, cancellation and dispute process, and the contractor-credit mechanism. Payment requires acceptance of those terms. If you later sign an agreement with the introduced contractor, that contractor provides the $150 credit as described in the written advancement terms. Only a successfully processed charge is treated as paid.

Independent contractors

Participating contractors are independent businesses. Each contractor is responsible for its business entity, licensing or registration, insurance, service area, site assessment, estimate, contract, work, payments, taxes, any warranty it offers, safety and legal compliance. GetHandled may remove a contractor from future network eligibility for failing its service standards, but network participation is not a guarantee of a particular outcome.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site, impersonate another person, submit information you may not share, interfere with security or availability, scrape protected information, or use GetHandled to facilitate unlawful or unsafe activity.

Electronic communications

You may receive confirmations and service communications related to a request you initiate. Marketing consent, when requested, is separate and may be withdrawn through the stated channel.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep project and process information accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Published examples and planning ranges must not be treated as a promise of a particular contractor, material, result, price or timeline.
